Emma has been working as a ceramic artist for the last 15 years, based in the Tamar Valley, East Cornwall. Over the years she has developed a classic and individual style working exclusively in porcelain.

Her work is highly textural, subtle, detailed and often understated using an exclusive technique which brings together the very distinct mediums of textiles and ceramics.

An embroidered image is hand stitched, usually on 'scrim' and then printed into the unfired porcelain, exploiting the surface textures which result and using glazes to emphasize the design.

Emma exhibits work across the UK and is a member of several Ceramic and Craft Associations
