I became interested in crafts when I took the Design Craft National Diploma at Bath City College which included fine metalwork and stained glass making as well as ceramics. I continued my studies at Bath Spa University gaining a first class honours degree in ceramics in summer 2008. I joined the Gloucester Guild of Craftsmen in 2009 and I have worked in my studio at home in Bath since then.
I enjoy spending time in museums and my work is inspired by ancient ceramics, particularly 17th century Delftware.
All my work is screen printed using oxides, mainly traditional cobalt blue. My print design is based on vintage "Sunday best" tea sets and other decorative items from my home.
Each piece is unique as they are individually screen printed and made completely by hand.
